Overview
ReceiptVault is designed to help users capture, organize, review, and export receipt information while keeping the product local-first and privacy-conscious.
Information the app stores
ReceiptVault may store information you choose to enter or import, including:
- Receipt images
- Merchant names, dates, totals, tax values, notes, and categories
- OCR-extracted text created from receipt scans
- App preferences such as onboarding choices and scan defaults
How data is stored
Free usage stores receipt data locally on the device. If a user has an active ReceiptVault Pro subscription, supported receipt data may also sync through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services tied to the user's Apple account.
Subscriptions and payments
ReceiptVault uses Apple's in-app purchase system for subscriptions. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple. ReceiptVault does not directly store full payment card data.
Third-party services
ReceiptVault relies primarily on Apple frameworks and services for app functionality, including App Store purchases and, where enabled, iCloud sync.
Data sharing
ReceiptVault does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by Apple when users rely on App Store purchases or iCloud-related services.
Data retention and deletion
Users can remove locally stored receipts and clear local app data from inside the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, users may also need to manage synced data through their Apple account or device settings.
Children's privacy
ReceiptVault is not directed to children under 13.
